A Whole by Fraz Haseen

A Whole by Fraz Haseen

Featured in The Coup: Mosaic, Vol. 30 (2012)

Are you mine?

A piece of my dreams

A figure so elusively divine

You go by as the river of reality streams

Past the standstill moments of time

Each a piece of who we are

The forgotten criminal caught in the crime

Is love my savior or murderer?

This bittersweet treasure trove

Buried in the deepest hole

Memories that are now worthless

Yet collectively worth more than gold

Were you ever mine?

Left alone to question my soul

As we walk along our separate lines

Remember this, you made me whole
