Darkest Days by Chase Dendy

It was like any other weeknight,

Sun sets and all is fair,

A mom, a dad, and 2 boys,

Nothing could ever stop this night,

As night hits, we all go to rest,

But something terrible comes from this night that goes unseen,

As we all wake up,

Nothing’s the same,

Not all rise from the night before,

It happened so terribly fast,

No one could believe,

Only one boy was left to remain instead of two,

Unfortunate events and adieus are all that’s left to fill the air,

As the sadness fills the room,

All that’s left is to remember the happiness,

Time moves past like a car on a road and life is filled with good and bads,

All you can do is accept and move on.
